May 27th, 2008 Library closed at 2:30pm on Wednesday, May 28th for absence makeup session Library will be closed at 2:30pm on Thursday, May 29th. The last student council meeting of the year will be Wednesday, May 28th at 2:40 in Mr. Walters’s room. The StuCo applications for next school year are due by this Wednesday. Any student who has enrolled or may enroll in AP Government and AP Economics for the 2008-2009 school year should come by room B221 to receive a handout of summer expectations to help prepare you for the courses. Handouts will be available after Wednesday, May 28th. The HOSA Senior Reception is Wednesday, May 28th immediately after school. This will be a brief gathering and we will announce next year’s HOSA officers and present a few deserving seniors with a parting gift. HOSA members please attend. There is also a mandatory meeting following the senior reception on May 28 for a group photo. All members are required to attend; those who are not present will not be included in this year's photo. You may contact Dr. Kloss, Ms. Tindel, Ms. Mabbit, Renee, or Derek if you have any questions. Students, if you are enrolled or planning to enroll into AP Chemistry 2008-2009 School year, please stop by and see Ms. Barrett about an important meeting tomorrow, 05/28/2008. The RLT SYMBANY SHOW CHOIR presents a "Musical Showcase" Friday, May 30th at 7:00 p.m. RLT Auditorium. Tickets are $5. Come out and join us and hear Queen, Elvis, Sinatra, and some Spanish Delights!! Proceeds benefit the Choir Scholarship fund. Kapela’s Italy travelers, remember your second payment of at least $200 must be mailed to NETC by June 1st, which is a Sunday, so the payment must be postmarked by Saturday! Also, let Mrs. Burton know when you apply for your passport. Seniors, families, and friends - the Baccalaureate and Reception Honoring the Class of 2008 will be held at Valwood Park Baptist Church on Sunday, June 1 at 2:00. Seniors should meet in the church entrance promptly at 1:30pm. If you have not paid off the balance on your yearbook, please do so as soon as possible! Yearbooks will be here in a few days! Do you like to read? Do you like donuts and coffee or orange juice? Well, then participate in the first annual summer RL Turner reading program. To participate all you need to do is go to the library to pick up your summer reading bookmark, read 3 books over the summer months, and then return to RL Turner and celebrate on Friday, Aug. 29th, 2008, in the library with donuts and drinks.
