The Recovery lab will be open from June 16th-June 27th from 8:00a.m. until 4:00p.m. Students may work in the lab from 8:00a.m. until 12:00 or 12:00 until 4:00. If you have any questions please come by room A103. Students! Please do not forget about the AP Chemistry ICE CREAM SOCIAL, today immediately following school in S101. This event is for registered or prospective 2008-2009 AP Chemistry students. The last student council meeting of the year will be today at 2:40 in Mr. Walters’s room. The StuCo applications for next school year are due by today. Any student who has enrolled or may enroll in AP Government and AP Economics for the 2008-2009 school year should come by room B221 to receive a handout of summer expectations to help prepare you for the courses. Handouts will be available after today. The HOSA Senior Reception is today immediately after school. This will be a brief gathering and we will announce next year’s HOSA officers and present a few deserving seniors with a parting gift. HOSA members please attend. There is also a mandatory meeting following the senior reception for a group photo. All members are required to attend; those who are not present will not be included in this year's photo. You may contact Dr. Kloss, Ms. Tindel, Ms. Mabbit, Renee, or Derek if you have any questions. Attention all RLT students! The National Honor Society will be offering tutoring sessions after school this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday to help prepare you for your finals. Please come to B109 after school and there will be help available to you. If you are interested in participating in R.L. Turner’s competitive Speech and Debate team for the 2008-2009 school year, there will be an informational meeting Thursday, May 29th, at 2:40pm in L105. If you are unable to attend but would like to be involved please see Mr. Hollomon in the Black Box or Mr. Yowell in L105 after school Friday, May 30th, or Monday June 2nd. Reminder to all new NHS inductees!! You have a meeting Thursday (May 29th) after school, in B109. Bring your $12 dues and your folder with you, as we will be discussing up-coming summer events. All current NHS members who have signed up for the Field Day @ Riverchase Elementary on Friday please remember to be at the elementary school by 9am. You will need your student ID when you check in, so don’t forget it! Also check your email for some minor details about the events that day. The RLT SYMBANY SHOW CHOIR presents a "Musical Showcase" Friday, May 30th at 7:00 p.m. RLT Auditorium. Tickets are $5. Come out and join us and hear Queen, Elvis, Sinatra, and some Spanish Delights!! Proceeds benefit the Choir Scholarship fund. If you have not paid off the balance on your yearbook, please do so as soon as possible! Yearbooks will be here this week. Kapela’s Italy travelers, remember your second payment of at least $200 must be mailed to NETC by June 1st, which is a Sunday, so the payment must be postmarked by Saturday! Also, let Mrs. Burton know when you apply for your passport. Seniors, families, and friends - the Baccalaureate and Reception Honoring the Class of 2008 will be held at Valwood Park Baptist Church on Sunday, June 1 at 2:00. Seniors should meet in the church entrance promptly at 1:30pm. This is a reminder to students----you can access your four year plan in your portfolio by going to bridges.com. Then enter cfb_ (and your six digit id). You will need to enter your password---that’s “abc123” for those of you who have not changed it. You can access Bridges 24/7. It is your portfolio and your future! Take time to explore it.
